Welcome to The National Lung Cancer Forum for Nurses

This website has been developed to provide information to patients, carers and for health professionals whose work involves those with lung cancer.

Public pages have been provided by The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation and can also be found in their booklet Lung Cancer - Answering your Questions .

If you or someone you care for has just been diagnosed with lung cancer then it's almost certain that you will have lots of questions that need answering.

The information contained in the public section of the website was designed by patients and healthcare professionals to help you learn more about lung cancer. All of the treatment information is evidence based. This means the recommended best treatment options for lung cancer taken from National Clinical Guidelines.

Understanding your disease will help you and your carers make informed decisions and hopefully help you to gain the most from your treatment unit. Please remember that most healthcare professionals are only too happy to answer your questions and will welcome the opportunity to address any of your concerns. Therefore, this website is not a substitute for professional advice but more of an easy guide through the lung cancer journey.

We hope that this website will be of use to you. However, if any of your questions remain unanswered, please do not hesitate to contact one of the many support organisations.
